Request Women’s Intermediate Handgun

Women’s Intermediate Handgun is designed for responsibly armed women who want to build upon their foundational handgun skills. This course bridges the gap between basic marksmanship and practical defensive application by strengthening mechanical understanding, malfunction management, ammunition selection, and applied shooting techniques.
This hands-on course combines classroom instruction with live-fire drills to reinforce proper technique, improve efficiency, and build confidence under structured supervision. Students will gain a deeper understanding of revolvers versus semi-automatic pistols, cycles of operation, common malfunctions, holster selection, concealed carry considerations, and personal boundary development. By the end of this class, you will leave with a stronger technical knowledge, and enhanced shooting proficiency you can continue refining through ongoing training.

Prerequisites
- Women’s Handgun Fundamentals (or equivalent)
- A working knowledge of safe handgun handling.
- Students must be comfortable safely loading, unloading, and shooting their firearm prior to attending this course.
Location
TBD. Class and range are in the Lawrenceville or Dacula, GA areas.
In Gwinnett County, close to Buford, Dacula, Duluth, Grayson, Lawrenceville, or Suwanee, Georgia.
How Time Will Be Spent
4 hours total time.
2 hours classroom time.
2 hour range time.
The first portion of the class focuses on expanding firearm knowledge and strengthening defensive understanding. Students will review revolvers versus semi-automatics, ammunition selection, cycles of operation, malfunction causes and clearing techniques, holster considerations, and situational awareness strategies.
The second portion takes place at a local indoor range, where students will participate in instructor-led live-fire drills. These drills include controlled pairs, target transitions, reload practice, malfunction clearing exercises, and one-handed shooting techniques. Students will apply refined fundamentals in a structured and supportive environment designed to improve defensive efficiency and confidence.
What to Bring to Class
- Open mind with a willingness to learn.
- Notepad and pen or pencil.
What to Bring to Range
- Functional handgun. (Range has rentals, if needed.)
- 50 rounds of ammunition.
- Range time fee, typically ~$15.00 – 20.00.
- Hearing and eye protection. (Range has rentals, if needed.)
What Will Be Provided
- Paper target.
Class Policies
- Must wear close-toed shoes, i.e., no flip-flops, sandals, or any other shoe type allowing toes to be exposed.
- No photos or videos of any portion of class.
- Be on-time to class so as not to interrupt other students.
- No children allowed in class.
- No food or beverage.
- If you are sick or think you are getting sick, stay home. We are happy to get you re-scheduled. If you come to class sick, you will be asked to leave without any refund.
- No firearms or ammunition may be handled during classroom instruction.
- Waiver and Agreement will need to be signed before start of class.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation 48 hours or more ahead of class time will result in a one-time re-schedule or a refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of class time will forfeit the entirety of the class cost paid, i.e. no refund.
